Clouds

Silky clouds in their heavenly glory

Floating, drifting, wandering.

In the folds of cotton so snowy,

specks of azure are cosy, cuddling.

Across the white fabric, greyness is meandering

sweeping gently around frays of marine.

Candies, lollies? Shapes in the sky

Silently sad, and waiting to cry

Over the horizon, light steals from sight

Quietly, stealthily but never contrite

Coolness accompanies Zephyr's breath

Warmth flees, and frost is left

Darkness falls

Reunion enthralls

The snug bed calls.
