Cold Wars

Cold wars should never be fought!

If you ever do get caught

in one such unfeeling fray,

do not get flustered! Just pray

that the conflict will be resolved

at the end of the day!

Aquinas Ball

The Aquinas Ball dinner and party was held yesterday evening. It was a magical night, where everyone dressed up all so formally, the guys in their nice shirts and ties, and the girls, in their long flowing dresses and attractive evening wear. We were all seated by 6 at the Aquinas dining room, which was elaborately decorated and set up. There were balloons and small packets of candy everywhere! We sipped a bit of wine at the table, discussing about their aromas and tastes like wine connesseiurs, before the VIPs of the college arrived and the dinner started.
Delicious roasted chicken was served, quite a different change from the food we usually eat during ordinary dinners.
The atmosphere throughout the entire function was so wonderfully magical! After the dinner, most of the crowd proceeded on to the Hotel Adelaide International to enjoy the Aquinas Ball party, which was full of drinking and dancing.

My Room In Aquinas

This is my room, in Aquinas College, Adelaide.

That's my laptop and bed.

That's my bookshelf, and a nice rug and pillow for anyone who's visiting. You can see two orange Nemo fishes on the top shelf! I won that through those soft-toy-picking machines!

That's my bookshelf and bed.

July 18, Monday

Winter befalls, and icy sheets

cover the ground in silvery pleats

A gale of frost, a squall of chill

dreary gloom and shadows fill the lifeless land.

Bit by bit, ice creeps across the fountains of summer sunshine,

leaving cold shards of saddened bleakness that the sands of time,

patiently and passionately,

is melting, ever so slowly.

"To be brave is to love someone unconditionally, without expecting anything in return. To just give. That takes courage, because we don't want to fall on our faces or leave ourselves open to hurt."

Day 2: Why

Why is the everlasting question, burning

deep in the heart.

Why is there crushing pain,

when two lovers part?

Why do craving and hunger

and longing pangs ,

tear at the soul

with the greatest angst.

The sweet allure of unity, and bitter distaste of seperation

swirling in a whirlpool of creamy, coffee flavoured trash.

In a tight meshwork of emotions, love lays down in tattered ruins.

Love? Where?

Was it ever there?

Day One: Creation

What is creation? And why

is a difficult question to answer, sigh

Intricate analysis will yield neither simple

nor true explanations,

but murky, obscure reasons, ample

to fill but a tiny ounce of our infinite curiosity.
