Story of a peanut

Once upon a time, there was a peanut.
who used a dime, to buy a doughnut.
It wanted lime, and looked around, but
Who adds lime, to a doughnut???

Only me, thought the peanut.
"And see, I want the lime cut
properly!" Said the peanut
promptly, to the ground nut.

Hmph, thought the ground nut.
'how rude is that peanut!
I shan't get his lime cut
that silly retard!'

Looking sad, the silly peanut
Was mad at the rude ground nut.
'How fat and round!, is that ground nut,
He's bad, and his core is full of mud!'

Valete Dinner

The Aquinas Valete Dinner!

We had a photograph session for the whole of the college in the early evening. It was pretty funny, because there were so many people around, and the photographer was yelling pretty hard to get people to get in place for the photo. There was a mass service in the Junior College Room after that. Later on, we made our way to the university function hall in Union Building, where they held the Valete Dinner. The place was wonderfully posh, and everyone was all dressed up for the occassion, in neat suits and classy night gowns. Speeches were made by friends of the Valetes, and there were serious, solomn moments like

"Sir Thomas Aquinas once said, who and what you love can tell alot about who you are"

and lots of funny moments, in which they recalled amusing incidents that occured to them and the Valetes. The evening kind of dragged on, because I didn't know most of what they were talking about, but the food wasn't too bad, and the desert was raspberry pavlova! Yum!
